OUR FIRST BATCH OF CLASS XII [SESSION 2008-09]

BGS brings out the best out of every student

I had come from a very subtle place like Kolkata to Delhi . My family settled in Dwarka and my parents started searching for a good school. I had been to four schools earlier but believe me..BGSIPS turned out to be the best. I was a part of the second batch of my school so I actually saw BGS growing during my school days . This school just doesn’t teach you but very much believes in the principle: “ Every student has some potential. Bring it out”. This has helped our students achieve numerous awards in Interschool, Interzonal, Interstate and National competitions.

I still remember those weeks we used to spend in school preparing for  Honour’s day and Teachers’ Day. We were always appreciated for our efforts and initiatives. I have fond memories all the mischief that we used to do and how we always found ourselves in Principal Madam’s office after all that. She always guided us on the right path and made us realize our mistakes directly or in directly. But with all this, our studies never took a back seat. Our school boasts of 100% board result for three consecutive years and it is an Achievement!

I express my gratitude towards every teacher in BGS. I have not seen in any other school that a Senior student of class XII has such a good interaction with Montessori or Junior school teachers! I am highly indebted to our Principal Madam who has guided me at every step of my life and helped me to choose my career as a lawyer. I would be too happy to contribute in the growth of school in the years to come.

BGS was my second home

My heart was filled with excitement and curiosity when my dad got posted to Delhi. Joining BGS provided me with home like comfort. The school not only provided me with the best faculty in Dwarka but also opportunities to take part in co curricular activities. It helped me immensely to know my potentials and be a confident person as I am today.

I owe my sincere thanks to our Principal Madam with whom we always felt that there is someone who listens to our problems and solves them. I cherish and treasure every moment I spent within school’s premises . I also made some of my good friends here, I wish them all the very best.

I pray that Swamiji’s blessings and Founder Principal Madam’s wide vision will help BGSIPS to achieve newer and newer heights.

“B.G.S. was different” :

My father’s  frequent postings as an Army Officer had me changing school every 2-3 years and from this experience I find myself eligible to comment on how difficult it can be for any student to adjust to a new school with new teachers and friends.

“But this was going to be different.”

I entered my 9th school B.G.S.I.P.S., Delhi to finish the last two years of my schooling with anticipations of a successful stay here as a senior student. The very first day here and I was settled. The B.G.S. fraternity accepted me like one of their own and soon I was an integral part of it. It is not mere praise or appreciation but fact that the most eventful and memorable years of my school life were here.

Soon after starting here, I was being assigned duties and responsibilities which a ‘new student’ would never expect. By my experiences- it was not earlier than a year that the teachers, let alone your principal, remembered your name in any school. But just like I said, ‘B.G.S. was different’. B.G.S. made me stand out of the crowd, honed and nurtured the skills which I today proudly carry as assets. Not to mention the loving and understanding care of my teachers and principal ma’am. They raised me as their own and shared responsibility for all my successes and failures.

It was here that I got opportunities to compete and excel. And even though I failed at times, never did I see hesitation in my teachers in handing me another task. They trusted me and believed in me and it is all credit to them that I learnt a lot in life, and also to be responsible and committed.

The 2 years here would not have flown by like a wisp of wind, had it not been the cool, ‘chilled-out’ atmosphere.

Not one day I remember that I saw the door to our Principal, Ms. Punam Gupta’s office closed. There was no restriction whenever you wanted to meet her, for advise, help or just a frank chat at times.

B.G.S.I.P.S – it gave me all I asked for. It brought me opportunities never expected. It helped me change for the better into what I am today. It’s given me memories and presents, I can spend my life with.

Thank you B.G.S., Principal ma’am and all my teachers,

Yours truly, sincerely, forever…….
