The teaching staff has high pedagogue
skills. They are oriented into channeling their abilities and talents towards
learning which is interdisciplinary and integrated, encompassing an activity
based and child centered curriculum. They gear themselves into promoting the
joy of learning amongst students. They are facilitators rather than just
transferring information from the textbooks. Regular faculty development
programmes and internal and external workshops are held to hone their teaching
skills. They research education to know more about learning to help them
structure the learning process in the class. They are given every opportunity
for professional and personal growth.
Teachers are challenged to pose problems that highlight the essence of key
understandings in the subject they teach and allow students to experience the
dilemmas presented by the content. They provide students the opportunity to
discuss problems with others in ways that illuminate the key points for
understanding at on in depth level. By adapting innovative and creative
methodology the faculty have developed learning strategies to help student
enhance the learning process, develop reading skills, diagnose students reading
and study needs, employ effective evaluation and techniques and maintain high
professional standards by constantly appraising their own accountability and
performance audit.
The faculty understands and implements the communication process (oral,
written, body language) between students, parents and colleagues. |
